Since 1943, Mary Meyer School has been a haven where children learn through the joy of purposeful play. Founded as Pine Grove Preschool by parents seeking a truly nurturing start, the school blossomed under the guidance of Mary Meyer, an extraordinary teacher who filled it with warmth, curiosity, and confidence.
Generations of devoted families have cared for our little schoolhouse. In 1966, parents purchased the row house that still welcomes children today, and years later others came together to expand and renovate its spaces. Many of those once-small students now return as parents—and even grandparents—walking their own children up the familiar steps.
That spirit of continuity endures. With each new class, families keep the school vibrant and alive—a place where tiny hands discover, laughter fills the rooms, friendships take root, and the love of learning is passed gently from one generation to the next.
