T
he Mary Meyer School, a fully licensed and NAEYC accredited, nondiscriminatory, independent, not-for-profit school, serving children aged three and four years old. The school offers two class sessions daily, morning and afternoon programs that each accommodate eighteen children under the care of three teachers.

The children learn in an environment of equipment and materials that are used freely and creatively with adult support and guidance. The goal of facilitating social, emotional, physical and cognitive development underlies all activities. The children learn to expect fairness, consistency, affection and respect from teachers, while discovering the joys of mastering skills.

Mary Meyer teachers have welcomed children from throughout Chicago for more than half a century. They understand the importance of a child’s first encounter with school. Their experience and commitment are among the school’s greatest assets and the reasons why Mary Meyer School has thrived and endured for several generations.
