Typical Schedule

Morning Class	Afternoon Class
8:35 – 9:05am	12:35 – 1:05pm	Arrival and free play
9:05 – 9:20am	1:05 – 1:20pm	Rug time, a whole group activity that begins by singing the “hello song” and where we discuss and carry out some of the daily jobs. There may be a presentation of new projects, activities or playthings.
9:20 – 10:15am	1:20 – 2:15pm	Work time/free play
10:15 – 10:20am	2:15 – 2:20pm	Clean-up
10:20 – 10:30am	2:20 – 2:30pm	Book time, a time when children look at books on their own, then sing songs or have finger plays, and finally hear a story that is read to them by a teacher.
10:30 – 10:35am	2:30 – 2:35pm	Hand washing
10:35 – 10:50am	2:35 – 2:50pm	Snack and conversation
10:50 – 11:25am	2:50 – 3:25pm	Outside play in the playgarden
11:25 – 11:30am	3:25 – 3:30pm	Children collect belongings and sing the “goodbye song”
11:30am	3:30pm	Dismissal
