What programs do you have?
We have a morning and an afternoon program. The morning program runs from 8:45-11:30am, Monday through Friday. The afternoon program runs from 12:45-3:30pm, Monday through Friday. In each class, there are 18 students under the care of 3 teachers (6:1).
How old does my child need to be to attend Mary Meyer School?
Children in the morning program need to be 3 years old by December 1, 2012, and therefore children must be born between December 2, 2008 and December 1, 2009. Children in the afternoon class must be born between September 2, 2007 and June 30, 2009.
How do you select new students?
Siblings or children of former Mary Meyer students are given priority. In admitting other applicants, the school aims to strike a balance between factors such as the ages, genders, and backgrounds of the children. We seek a diverse student body, and we encourage applications from children of all backgrounds, races, and faiths.
How many spaces are typically available for new families?
Each year is different, but typically there are around 6-10 spaces available in each of the morning and afternoon classes.
How early can I apply for admission?
We only accept applications one year in advance of entrance. For example, to apply for the 2012-13 school year, you can apply in the fall or winter of 2011-12. Applications for 2012-13 are due by February 1, 2012.
